Former "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino is being treated for a drug overdose in North Carolina. Her condition is not called life threatening.

According to reports, Barrino was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville around 8:55 p.m. It was not stated if her overdose was intentional or accidental.

In a divorce petition filed last week, a North Carolina woman, Paula Cook, said Barrino's "covert adulterous affair" with her husband as the reason for the breakup of her marriage to Antwuan Cook.

On Monday, Fantasia's manager, Brian Dickens, released a statement saying the former "American Idol" winner is " is not responsible for the deterioration of the Cook's marriage."

Her lawyer also said Paula Cook was seeking publicity by naming Barrino in the court filing
