Over the last few weeks, all everyone’s been talking about is Montana Fishburne. The 19-year-old daughter of Hollywood great Laurence Fishburne sent shockwaves through Hollywood when word of her decision to star in a porn flick began to spread. One of the people offering their perspective on the whole sordid saga is hip-hop legend turned Hollywood heavyweight, Ice Cube, who starred alongside Fishburne in the 1991 hood classic, Boyz n the Hood. Speaking on the X-rated scandal, Cube said:
“I feel for him [Fishburne], you know what I’m saying? Cause once your kids get to a certain age you can’t control what they do, you can only hope that they do the right thing, do what you taught them and sometimes they don’t! You know what I mean? To me, I feel bad for him, I don’t feel like he did a bad job or he didn’t do his job, [as a parent]. Kids just do what they do.”
I agree with Cube wholeheartedly. Some of the most scandalous people I know are the children of preachers who went from praising Him in a pew to twerking it on a pole!
In related news, according to Carlton Jordan, Montana was only paid $25,000 by Vivid Entertainment to do her sex tape. SMH! I hope she used some of that money to buy a clue!
