Beyonce Knowles believes one of the main reasons she has always had successful relationships with men is because she has feminist values.

The 'Halo' singer - who is married to hip-hop superstar Jay-Z - says she's always had good friendships with females and thinks that has played a big part in her never falling for the wrong type of man.

She said: "I think I am a feminist in a way. It's not something I consciously decided I was going to be; perhaps it's because I grew up in a singing group with other women, and that was so helpful to me. It kept me out of so much trouble and out of bad relationships. My friendships with my girls are just so much a part of me that there are things I am never going to do that would upset that bond. I never want to betray that friendship because I love being a woman and I love being a friend to other women.

"I think we learn a lot from our female friends - female friendship is very, very important."

While her personal relationships are very important to her, Beyonce admits she sometimes finds it hard to balance everything in her life.

She told You magazine: "For me, balance is always really hard to find. I love so many different things, and to have the discipline to turn certain things away and focus on one thing at a time so that I can give it 100 per cent is really hard.

"Probably the biggest challenge in my life is time - making sure I have time to be a wife, to be a singer, to be a songwriter, to be an actor and still have time for my clothing line and now for my perfume. I am like any other woman who has a child, who has a husband, who has a job. I think it's the hardest thing about being a woman because we have so many responsibilities."

Rihanna reaches a milestone in music met only by three other artists in history.

With Emimem's "Love The Way You Lie" reaching the Pop Songs No. 1, Rihanna - who is featured on the single - ties the mark for most No. 1s in the Nielsen survey's 18-year history.

According to Billboard, Rihanna's six Pop Songs No. 1s are equaled only by Mariah Carey - who topped the chart between 1993 and 2005, Beyonce (2003-10), and Lady Gaga (2009-10).

The achievement puts Rihanna over Avril Lavigne, Pink, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, who each have five Pop Songs No. 1s.

Rihanna's other Pop Songs No. 1s include "SOS," "Take a Bow," "Disturbia," "Live Your Life" (T.I. featuring Rihanna) and "Rude Boy."

"Love the Way You Lie" is Eminem's third Pop Songs No. 1, a mark he reached twice with "Without Me" and "Lose Yourself."

Lady Gaga Joins Semi Precious Weapons Onstage At Lollapalooza

CHICAGO — In the hours before Lady Gaga's Friday night (August 6) set to close out the first night of Lollapalooza in Chicago's Grant Park, the ubiquitous, world-conquering pop star made an early appearance onstage as part of the set by Semi Precious Weapons (her friends and the opening act on her Monster Ball Tour).

Semi Precious Weapons frontman Justin Tranter breathlessly recounted the story while standing just in front of the stage where Gaga would be performing her full set in a matter of hours.

"She came to watch us perform. She stood on the side of the stage, and then during the song 'Magnetic Baby,' she started playing drums with Dan," he told MTV News. "Then she started singing backup vocals, then her and I made out, and then she stagedove and then I joined her while she stage-dove. And then we made out while stagediving. And then she left. It was pretty amazing."

The visit certainly came as a surprise to the men of Semi Precious Weapons, though it isn't the first time the two entities have tag-teamed. "She used to get onstage with us all the time, but since she's so famous, normally it's not safe for her," Tranter explained. "But she played the same stage we played three years ago, and I think she was so excited about us playing that stage, and she loves our band so much that she was overwhelmed by the rock and roll and just had to make it happen."

Tranter also told MTV News that this wouldn't be the last you would see of Gaga collaborating with the band. "Gaga herself has plans to collaborate with us, both artistically and sexually," he teased.

After a whirlwind day, Semi Precious Weapons declared themselves the victors of Lollapalooza's Friday.

"Tonight, in 2010, at Lollapalooza, rock and roll officially is back," Tranter said. "After Gaga is done, between our set and her set, they should just cancel the whole thing."
